Whats the difference between vermeil and gold plating?
Durability - Gold vermeil is far more durable than gold plating because of its increased thickness. Combining both affordability and quality.
Vermeil must have a minimum thickness of 2.5 microns, whereas gold plating has a minimum thickness of 0.5 microns. This is the second significant distinction. When comparing gold vermeil to gold plating, gold vermeil is at least five times thicker.
Although our pieces are durable, we recommend storing them in a dry place and avoiding harsh chemicals or perfumes to extend their shine. A soft cloth is perfect for cleaning.
